2. General information on data processing

We collect, process and use your personal data only to the extent necessary to provide our website and our services and to communicate with you. Data is passed on to third parties only where the law permits it or where you have expressly consented.

3. Hosting and access data (server log files)

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 Pine Street, Suite 701, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA). When you visit our website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores data transmitted by your browser. This includes:

  • Pages visited
  • Date and time of the server request
  • Referrer URL
  • Browser and operating system used
  • IP address

This data serves solely to keep the site running without disruption and is not combined with other sources. A data processing agreement is in place with Vercel. Further information: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

3a. Apple MapKit map service: showing our location

On the service area page we use Apple MapKit JS by Apple Inc. (One Apple Park Way, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA) to show where our business is located. The map loads automatically when the page opens. At that point, and therefore before you interact with the map at all, a connection to Apple servers is established and your IP address along with technical browser data such as browser type and operating system is transmitted. No further personal data is processed. The map serves only to show the location and contains no tracking or advertising functions. The associated transfer of data to the United States relies on the adequacy decision of the European Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Apple is certified.

3b. Apple MapKit map service: technician finder

On the enquiry page we likewise use Apple MapKit JS by Apple Inc. to support the technician search. The following data is processed:

  • Address entry: The address you enter is transmitted to Apple servers for geocoding, that is, conversion into coordinates.
  • Location detection (optional): If you use automatic location detection, your GPS coordinates are determined via browser geolocation and transmitted to Apple servers to calculate the route. This only happens after you have expressly agreed in the browser dialogue.
  • Route calculation: Apple uses your location data to calculate driving times and distances to the available technicians.

The location data transmitted is not stored permanently and serves solely to match you with a suitable technician nearby. The associated transfer of data to the United States relies on the adequacy decision of the European Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Apple is certified.

4. Getting in touch and the enquiry form

If you contact us by email, WhatsApp, telephone or through the enquiry form on our website, the details you provide, including your contact data (name, telephone number, email address, town and your request), are stored so that we can deal with your enquiry and answer any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

The enquiry form sends your data encrypted over HTTPS to a server-side function running on the Vercel infrastructure (see section 3a). The data is then forwarded to us by email and is not stored permanently on the server.

4a. Price calculator and enquiry for restaurant websites

On the page /webdesign/restaurants you can calculate a guide price and then request a quote. When you submit the enquiry we store your name, the name of your business, your preferred contact channel with phone number or email address, optionally your preferred time of day and the address of your current website, as well as your selection in the calculator and the resulting guide price. We also store how long the run took, the sequence of steps you reached in the calculator with the time of each step in seconds since the page was opened, and whether you had consented to the measurement described in section 6a. If you arrived through an ad, we additionally store the identifiers of the campaign, ad set, ad and placement as well as the UTM parameters taken from the page address.

The enquiry is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS) to a server-side function on the Vercel infrastructure in Frankfurt, stored in our internal enquiry management (Vercel Blob, Frankfurt region) and additionally delivered to us by email. We use the details solely to prepare a quote for you and to clarify questions. We delete them as soon as they are no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention periods apply.

4b. Anonymous counting in the price calculator

To understand where people leave the price calculator, we count how often each step was reached, per day and per ad. Only that number is stored. We set no cookies for this, place nothing on your device, store no IP address and create no identifier that could recognise individual visitors.

5. Payment services

If you pay via SumUp, the payment is processed by SumUp Payments Limited. The SumUp privacy terms apply: https://www.sumup.com/de-de/datenschutz/

5a. External links (Google Maps)

Our website contains links to Google Maps (maps.app.goo.gl). When you click such a link you leave our website. Google LLC (USA) then receives technical data such as your IP address. We have no influence over this processing. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Use of WhatsApp Business

We use WhatsApp Business for communication. Please note that when you use this service, personal data is transmitted to WhatsApp Ireland Limited. Further information: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea

6a. Meta Pixel (only with consent)

On the page /webdesign/restaurants we use the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. It only becomes active after you have accepted “Marketing” in the consent dialog. Without your consent no script from Meta is loaded and nothing is transmitted to Meta. No data is transmitted from our server to Meta.

The purpose is to measure the effect of our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to improve them. With your consent the Meta Pixel reports from your browser to Meta which steps you reach in the price calculator: page opened, calculator started, example viewed, selection started, selection completed, price shown, contact form opened and enquiry submitted. Each of these events is given a random identifier. For “price shown” and “enquiry submitted” the calculated guide price in euros is sent along as the value of the event. In addition, the Meta Pixel automatically records clicks on buttons on the page and transmits the button label, its technical attributes, the page title and the structure of any forms present, but none of the values you entered. With each event Meta receives your IP address, details of your browser and device, the address and title of the page visited including the ad identifiers in the address, and the identifiers from the cookies _fbp and _fbc. The Meta Pixel sets these two cookies in your browser; they are deleted after 90 days. We do not transmit your name, email address or phone number to Meta.

We and Meta are joint controllers for the collection and transmission of this data (Article 26 GDPR). You can find the agreement at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. Meta alone is responsible for the subsequent processing. Data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA. Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future through the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of every page.

7. Rights of data subjects

You have the right to:

  • Access to the data stored about you
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure and restriction of processing
  • Object to the processing
  • Data portability

8. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

If you believe data protection law has been breached, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The authority responsible is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Rhineland-Palatinate: https://www.datenschutz.rlp.de

9. SSL encryption

For security reasons, and to protect the transmission of confidential content, our website uses SSL encryption.

9a. Technical storage in your browser (localStorage)

Our website stores your preferred colour scheme (light or dark mode) and whether you have already dismissed the notice about the English version in your browser’s local storage. These entries are kept on your device only, are never transmitted to us and contain no personal data. You can delete them at any time through your browser settings.

In the same storage we remember your decision in the consent dialog so that we do not have to ask you on every visit. This storage is technically necessary (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

10. Currency and changes

This privacy policy is dated September 2026. We reserve the right to amend it if our website or the legal requirements change.
